Spring has Sprung
Spring has sprung! The cherry blossoms are in full bloom and my overall mood is happier! I can finally whip out all the sandals I’ve been dying to wear (cute summer sandal post coming soon).
This past weekend was definitely exciting enough for me to post about. Sunday was the hubby’s birthday so we took full advantage of the beautiful weather and had a great day!
We started the day getting spring ready to take some pictures outside by our Cherry Blossom tree. Hoda saw me all dressed up and said “wow mama, your dress is very nice.” I mean how cute is that?! She then proceeded to tell me she also wants to wear a dress so I of course I had to get pictures to document the occasion.
Did you notice how my skirt and hijab are coordinating? Crazy story, my skirt is from HERE, that I bought 2 years ago. My hijab was a complete coincidence when I was scrolling through Haute Hijab‘s website and found the exact print! Needless to say, I’ve been waiting for spring weather to wear them together.

After dropping Hoda off at my parent’s house, we went to finally watch Captain Marvel. I don’t even remember the last time we went to the theater to watch a movie.
After the movie, we went to the best part of the day which was a crab shack in Annapolis called Jimmy Cantler’s Riverside Inn. The restaurant is right on the water which made the experience so much more enjoyable. Shehab enjoyed cracking/eating his crabs while I enjoyed him peeling it for me and just watching him. I had the lump crab cakes which was probably the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for the best seafood spot, this place is a must!
Our birthday date came to an end with some ice cream from Kilwins on Main Street in Annapolis! At this point, I was ready to go pick up Hoda and spend some time with her.
A weekend well spent in my books! Next weekend we’re headed to Aquatopia with some friends! Can’t wait to share the fun with you all!
