Top Drugstore Make-up

Believe it or not, a lot of the day to day make up products I use are affordable drugstore make up. I feel like I don’t need to splurge on certain things when I can get something just as good or even better at the drugstore. Foundations, for example are so expensive but I use a couple drugstore ones that I absolutely love more than my high end ones.

I compiled a list of my top drugstore make up products and tools I use daily. Let me know in the comments what drugstore products you love and why!

A ton of beauty bloggers talked about how the Maybelline Baby Skin primer was just like the Too Faced hangover primer so I decided to give it a try. I don’t actually have the Too Faced primer because I didn’t think I needed to since I absolutely love my Maybelline one. When I use this primer before applying my foundation, I instantly see a difference. The pores on my nose disappear and my foundation looks super smooth. The foundation doesn’t settle into my smile lines or the creases around my nose. I recommended it to my sister and she was amazed at how her pores completely disappeared. This primer is for erasing pores but not for hydrating the skin so I actually use the Make Up Forever Step 1 primer for that.

This foundation is my all time favorite. I use this one regularly as well as at weddings and other occasions. It gives off a very natural finish but full coverage at the same time. It’s lightweight and blends so beautifully. I use my Real Techniques sponge to blend in the foundation. I am in the shade 225.

This concealer is my top drugstore concealer. It’s the only concealer that I like out of all drugstore concealers. It blends so smoothly with a sponge and has NEVER creased! I actually bought the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer before the Maybelline one and when I used the Maybelline one, I was in love! It’s very lightweight unlike the NARS one and blends way better. I use this concealer on its own sometimes without any foundation or I use it all over the face and it still looks flawless. I am almost out of it and will definitely be repurchasing it. I am in the shade 25 Medium.

Another one of my go to foundations. I use this one mostly in the summer because it is a matte finish and in the winter it feels to dry on the skin. It’s super easy to blend in and feels very natural on the face. I use a very small amount on the face because a little bit goes a long way. I find that using a flat kabuki brush to blend it in works better than a sponge as it is a thicker formula. I’m in the shade 104 Golden Beige

I always fail to see a difference between drugstore blush and high end blushes, I feel like they are all the same in my opinion or maybe I just don’t care too much for blush that anything will do. Nevertheless, this was one of the first blushes I purchased at CVS and I use it ALL the time. The shade is ‘Pinched’ It’s like a shimmery hot pink but it doesn’t show up too shimmery which I love. It literally gives you a natural pinched look.

This blush I use way more than some of my high end ones like Nars and Tarte. Most days I do a natural make up look so I use this blush on the regular. The shade is Luminoso and it’s a nice peachy shade with timy specks of shimmer. Some days, I use this as an eye shadow in the crease when I’m too lazy to give me a woken look. I have repurchased this blush many times and I plan to keep doing so since this is my everyday blush.

I just recently discovered these liquid lipsticks at ULTA when I went with my sister and cousins. I bought the shade ‘Cabaret Show’, it kind of reminds me of Kat Von D Lolita that everyone raves about. The liquid lipsticks is super creamy, lasts long and I think looks amazing with my skin tone. It is definitely an everyday color. I actually like the Lingerie line of liquid lipsticks better than the other lip creams NYX has because it stays on the lips and doesn’t wipe off when you touch your lips. I pair the liquid lipstick with the NYX lipliner in Nude Beige.

The Real Techniques orange complexion sponge is what I use to blend my foundation all over the face and the mini purple sponge is what I use for blending in my concealer. I love that it has a flat angle along with the egg shape to really get into the fine areas. The purple mini sponge is so perfect for blending the concealer, I can easily blend under the eye and on the eye lids with it. I even dip the sponge into my Laura Mercier translucent powder to set my under eye.

Some of my favorite brushes are also from Real Technique. I have the Blush brush, Setting brush and Expert Face brush that I use all the time. The setting brush I use to set my under eye with translucent powder after applying concealer. The expert face brush I use sometimes to apply foundation or to blend my concealer when I don’t feel like wetting the beauty sponge.
