4 Simple Overnight Oats

4 Simple Overnight Oats

With Ramadan around the corner, I’m looking for ways to prepare meals in advance so I don’t have to worry about it so early in the morning. One thing I have come to enjoy in the past couple of years is oatmeal. I ate it almost everyday when I was breastfeeding and now even Hoda loves it.

I make these overnight oats every other week and store them in mason jars. They last for 4 days which is 4 days I don’t have to worry about breakfast. These oats will be easy and filling for when Ramadan comes. I’m sharing 4 of my favorite oatmeal flavors today. I hope you enjoy!

There are few main ingredients used in every recipe. These include:

  • 1/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp dried chia seeds

I love adding the chia seeds in the oatmeal, it gives it a pudding like texture which tastes great. I recently added the yogurt to the oatmeal recipe and I like that it thickens the oatmeal instead of being too runny.

I use glass mason jars to combine all the ingredients and store them in the fridge.
