Motherhood Survival Kit in a Jar

Looking for a unique gift for the new mom in your life? Between all the baby clothes, toys and baby gear, what about a little something for the mom? With all the sleepless nights the new mom is about to endure, this ‘Motherhood Survival Kit’ could make her day a whole lot doable. Being a mom myself, I know I would have loved to receive these items to help with the early stages of motherhood.
I am always looking for unique gift ideas for any occasion. I love coming up with creative things to give my friends for their happy occasions. I use mason jars for so many things around my house so I thought what a cool idea to change up your typical gift basket and give a gift in a jar!
Motherhood Survival Kit in a Jar
The first thing you will need is a jar. I bought this one from Hobby Lobby for $8.
Instead of using a sticker label, I used chalk paint to paint a section on the jar and then with a chalk marker I wrote ‘Motherhood Survival Kit.’ For a detailed tutorial on how to make the label and what chalk paint I used, check out THIS DIY POST
Here is what I put into the jar. I was able to get everything from Target.
- Bamboobies Nursing Pads
- Lansinoh Nipple Cream
- Milkmakers Lactation Cookie Bites
- Chewing Gum
- Hand Lotion
- Face Sheet Mask
- Burt’s Bees Chapstick
- Makeup Remover Wipes
- Mini Bath Bombs
I thought this was such an easy and useful gift idea for a new mom. The friend I gave it to absolutely LOVED it so it was definitely a win!
