Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

Last weekend was the Sephora spring sale where you can get either 10% or 15% off your total purchase. This is where I usually purchase what I’ve been eyeing for a long time. I’ve been wanting a new foundation stick since the last one I had by Make Up Forever, my lovely daughter dug into it and destroyed the foundation as well as my white rug. I wasn’t even mad because I kind of wanted to get a new one. This time I decided to go for the Hourglass stick foundation. I read some good reviews about the creaminess and blend-ability and wanted to try it for myself.

I went to the store to swatch it and was matched with the shade ‘Nude.’ I tested it out immediately after I got home and wore it the entire day. The one thing I realized is that I had absolutely no creases in my smile lines or nose area. Also, my face did not get oily by the end of the night. Unlike my Make Up Forever one, it was very creamy and blended onto the skin very smoothly. I did not have to keep going back and forth with my brush to blend it out. It’s lightweight and build-able so I can get an even look without being a full face.

Another thing I noticed was that the foundation did not oxidize at all. I have this problem with a lot of my other foundations like Make Up Forever and Loreal. Typically after a few hours or exposure to the outdoor heat, my foundation seems like it turns a few shades darker and people always ask if I got a tan. I did not notice that with this foundation so far. Let’s see if it holds true in the heat of the summer.

The packaging is great, especially since it’s a stick foundation. I’m looking forward to taking it with me on vacation. It’ll be super easy to travel with which I’m stoked about. I don’t have to worry about my liquid foundation spilling everywhere. Overall, I’m loving the new Hourglass stick foundation and can’t wait to test it out some more this summer.
