Cold Plunge Pore Mask

Last week, OleHenriksen was generous enough to send me their new Cold Plunge Pore Mask they just released at Sephora stores. Now that I’ve had it for some time, I can finally give it a full review.

The OleHenriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask claims it reduces the appearance of pores, reduces oil for 12 hours, evens skin texture and detoxifies the skin.  My first thought that came to mind when applied this mask was, “wow that’s cold” in a good way. I tried this mask as part of my morning skincare routine and the cold actually felt amazing on the face. In our house we barely get any AC circulation in our bedroom and in the summer it’s always a sauna up there so when I applied the mask, it felt so refreshing. Makes sense since it is called Cold Plunge Pore Mask. I left it on for about 10 minutes until it hardened and rinsed it off with water. The texture when removing it became soapy like a face wash which I appreciated. I dislike when masks are super hard to rinse off with water.

Instantly I noticed my face felt more awake and even. Throughout the day I noticed that my face did not feel oily like it usually does in my nose and forehead area. The mask was not too drying at all and it did not leave my face feeling tight either. The mask claims to instantly reduce pores but I don’t think it did any of that. I have noticeable pores around my nose area and it seemed exactly the same after the mask. I will continue to use the mask a few times a week to see if I notice a change.

Overall, I am liking the mask especially the cold aspect of it. I feel like I will be enjoying it a lot more in the summer once it gets super hot outside. I love the fact that it doesn’t tighten my face, washes off with ease and controls the oil on my face.
