Cosco Scenera NEXT Convertible Carseat

We recently went on a short trip to Texas last December and since we were going to be driving around there we took Hoda’s carseat with us. What we didn’t realize was how heavy the carseat actually was until we had to carry it all the way to the gate. In a few months we will be going on a family vacation to Miami and I need a better solution to the carseat situation.

I did a little bit of research and found that a lot of people actually have a separate lightweight carseat that they take with them traveling. When I looked it up it was only $37.99!! I read the reviews and decided to give it a try! It weighs in at only 10 lbs which is a huge plus! I went to the store to see how it looks and feels but I ordered it online because it was a little cheaper.

It came in last week and Hoda was obsessed with sitting in it immediately. After I correctly assembled it, I installed it in the car and drove Hoda around in it to see the stability and comfort of it. So far so good! It securely locks into place with its lower anchor belt. It also has a cup holder which is awesome. This carseat is also convertible so it can be both rear facing and forward facing. I tried it rear facing since Hoda is still under 2.

Overall, I’m giving it two thumbs up! It’s a simple sturdy carseat that gets the job done and is super lightweight for travel. I’m so excited to take this with us to Miami!
