Toddler Bedroom Makeover Featuring Spoonflower

Toddler Bedroom Makeover Featuring Spoonflower

The highly awaited toddler bedroom makeover is complete! The first ever DIY in our house was this bedroom before my 4-year-old daughter was born. I was adamant about wanting a wood accent wall in her bedroom. 4 years later and it was finally time for an update!

I knew I wanted to keep the wood accents on the wall but the question became how do I add a little more personality to the room? Luckily I knew exactly where to go for inspiration and design!

For this bedroom makeover, I am thrilled to work with Spoonflower, a company that allows individuals to create, print and sell their own artwork on fabric, wallpaper and home decor. I worked with their amazing team to curate one of a kind designs for Hoda’s bedroom. This included a unique wallpaper design and bedding.

There are over 1.8 million designs to choose from and best part is they are made to order which means they will never be out of stock on your favorite print! For this project I chose the Butterfly Line Art wallpaper, Honeybee bed sheets, and Millennial Pink Gingham duvet cover.

For the wallpaper I chose to go with the Peel and Stick Removable Woven. I never installed wallpaper before but surprisingly it was extremely easy! Just make sure the designs line up with each panel and you’re good to go. The fact that it is Peel and Stick, gives you more room to fiddle with it. Because I did not remove the wood accents on the wall before installing the wallpaper, there were a lot more cuts involved. It took a total of 2 hours and the room instantly came together!

Lastly, to bring the beautiful design on the wall together, we had to get some fun bedding. After all, my big girl just moved up from a toddler bed to a big girl bed! She was so excited when she saw little honeybees on the bedsheets that she kept asking when it was bedtime. To top it all off, we got the most comfortable duvet cover in a soft pink gingham print.

Overall the entire room came together beautifully! The colors in the room are girly yet sophisticated, perfect for my sassy little 4 year old.

Don’t forget to visit Spoonflower and browse their millions of designs! Your next project whether it’s a room makeover, holiday table setting, home décor refresh could use a fresh new design!

What do you think? What is the next room we should upgrade?!
