Frosty the Snow Paint

Frosty the Snow Paint

Indoor activities are in full swing now that it’s too cold for outdoor activities! Today we made snow paint which is essentially DIY puffy paint. We used it to make ‘Frosty the Snowman.’ This two ingredient paint was so easy to make, Hoda actually did it herself.

We started off with a paint brush but found it easier to use our hands instead. I drew out the shape of the snowman beforehand and instructed Hoda to paint in the circles. Surprisingly she did a pretty good job at painting in the lines! I’m hoping she inherits the creative genes.

What you’ll need:

  • Shaving Cream
  • Elmer’s white glue
  • Glitter (optional)

How to make Snow Paint:

  • Combine equal parts of glue and shaving cream in a bowl.
  • Mix thoroughly with a whisk
  • Add glitter for extra “snow” shimmer

To make the snowman I made a hat out of paper as well as a orange nose. We used sprinkles for the mouth, pom poms for the buttons and wiggle eyes for the eyes.

The finished project! We had a wonderful time painting together! In the end, it dries exactly how you see it which is great for a 2D effect!

XOXO,
